Enantiospecific Synthesis of α-Tertiary Amines: Ruthenium-Catalyzed Allylic Amination with Aqueous Ammonia
(2025)Journal of the American Chemical SocietyAmmonia stands out as the most available, cost-effective, and atom-economical source of nitrogen for organic synthesis. In the laboratory, it is safely and most conveniently handled in aqueous solution. Despite the advantages, the direct application of aqueous ammonia in the field of transition-metal catalysis remains a significant challenge. In this study, we report the first ruthenium-catalyzed allylic substitution using ammonia. The ...Journal Article -
High-Precision Oxygen-Isotope Analysis of Iron (Oxyhydr)oxides Using High-Temperature Conversion Isotope Ratio Mass Spectrometry
(2025)Analytical ChemistryWe introduce a novel high-precision method for oxygen-isotope analysis of iron (oxyhydr)oxides using high-temperature conversion isotope ratio mass spectrometry (HTC-IRMS). In this approach, a finely ground mixture of iron (oxyhydr)oxide and graphite is heated at 1450 degrees C in a helium flow environment, converting oxygen to CO gas with nearly 100% yield. Continuous-flow IRMS analysis of the liberated CO yields a precision of +/- 0.15 ...Journal Article -
Guidelines for Accurate Device-Circuit Coupled Modeling for More Advanced Optimization of Power Electronic Switching Cell
(2024)2024 IEEE DESIGN METHODOLOGIES CONFERENCE, DMCThis paper addresses the requirements for the trustful electromagnetic (EM)-circuit coupled modeling using an example of a PCB layout with a half-bridge configuration of two silicon carbide (SiC) power MOSFETs, gate drivers, decoupling and dc-capacitors. The general guidelines for: 1) the port definition of EM models, 2) the time-domain circuit simulator settings, 3) the approximations, which can be adopted by the EM solvers, and 4) the ...Conference Paper -
Time-Aware Probabilistic Roadmaps for Multi-Query Path Planning in Dynamic Environments
(2024)2024 EIGHTH IEEE INTERNATIONAL CONFERENCE ON ROBOTIC COMPUTING, IRC 2024In the evolving landscape of robotic applications, there is an increasing demand for advanced path planning algorithms capable of navigating dynamic environments. Established sampling-based algorithms like Probabilistic Roadmaps (PRM/PRM*) or Rapidly-exploring Random Trees (RRT/RRT*) and their derivatives have marked significant progress in this domain. However, there remains room for improvements when it comes to effectively planning ...Conference Paper -
Explanation for Oscillating Backbone Curves Based on Fractional Spectral Submanifolds
(2024)Conference Proceedings of the Society for Experimental Mechanics SeriesThe instantaneous relationship between frequency and amplitude (backbone curve) of a decaying trajectory represents an important feature of a system, as it provides information about the forced response, if forcing and damping are small. The backbone curve of a system can be directly approximated by the reduced dynamics on spectral submanifolds (SSMs) constructed either from governing equations or from data, without the necessity for ...Conference Paper
