  2. B-cell receptor signaling activity identifies patients with mantle cell lymphoma at higher risk of progression

    Gambino S.; Quaglia F.M.; Galasso M.; et al. (2024)
    Scientific Reports
Mantle cell lymphoma (MCL) is an incurable B-cell malignancy characterized by a high clinical variability. Therefore, there is a critical need to define parameters that identify high-risk patients for aggressive disease and therapy resistance. B-cell receptor (BCR) signaling is crucial for MCL initiation and progression and is a target for therapeutic intervention. We interrogated BCR signaling proteins (SYK, LCK, BTK, PLCγ2, p38, AKT, ...

  3. ddml: Double/debiased machine learning in Stata

    Ahrens A.; Hansen C.B.; Schaffer M.E.; et al. (2024)
    The Stata Journal
In this article, we introduce a package, ddml, for double/debiased machine learning in Stata. Estimators of causal parameters for five different econometric models are supported, allowing for flexible estimation of causal effects of endogenous variables in settings with unknown functional forms or many exogenous variables. ddml is compatible with many existing supervised machine learning programs in Stata. We recommend using double/debiased ...

  4. Mutually elusive: Vectorlike antileptons and leptoquarks

    Bigaran I.; Dobrescu B.A.; Russo A. (2024)
    Physical Review D
We study the properties of vectorlike fermions that have the same gauge charges as the Standard Model lepton doublets, but opposite lepton number. These antileptons undergo decays mediated by heavier scalar leptoquarks, while the symmetries of this renormalizable model protect the vectorlike fermions and the leptoquarks from standard decays probed so far at colliders. We derive upper limits on the new Yukawa couplings imposed by flavor-changing ...

  5. Assessing the Regional Climate Response to Different Hengduan Mountains Geometries With a High-Resolution Regional Climate Model

    Xiang R.; Steger C.R.; Li S.; et al. (2024)
    Journal of Geophysical Research: Atmospheres
The Hengduan Mountains (HM) are located on the southeastern edge of the Tibetan Plateau and feature high mountain ridges (>6,000 m MSL) separated by deep valleys. The HM region also features an exceptionally high biodiversity, believed to have emerged from the topography interacting with the climate. To investigate the role of the HM topography on regional climate, we conduct simulations with the regional climate model COSMO at high ...
